Emma Langford plays Red Hot Music Club
A reminder that Limerick's acclaimed singer-songwriter Emma Langford is the next artist to play the Red Hot Music Club, in Fallons on Thursday next, 26 October, writes Brian Byrne.
The first ever recipient of the Dolores O'Riordan Bursary, Emma won the 2017 Best Emerging Artist award from RTE for her debut album Quiet Giant and in 2020 was nominated as the Best Folk Singer in the same awards. She has toured in Germany and the US, and was longlisted for two Grammy awards in 2020 and 2021. Emma curates the Limerick Lady Festival, an initiative which aims to promote female musicians to tackle the issue of gender imbalance in the music industry.
