LPT support for Kilcullen Bridge Cinema

Support of €2,000 has been allocated to Kilcullen Lions Club from Kildare County Council for the purchase of equipment for their cinema project, writes Brian Byrne.

The funds were provided from Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer's Local Property Tax (LPT) allocation, nominated by her at today's meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District.

The first showing by Kilcullen Bridge Cinema is next week, when a screening of The Fablemans on Wednesday 27 September will revive cinema activities in the Town Hall after an absence of 47 years.

Other presentations scheduled include The Rise on Wednesday 11 October, and Living on Wednesday 8 November.
