Kildare Samaritans are recruiting next week

The Samaritans in County Kildare are recruiting through next week with a series of meetings across the county, writes Brian Byrne.

The first of these is Tuesday next, 12 September, in Keadeen Hotel, beginning at 7.30pm. Others are in the Glenroyal Hotel Maynooth on Wednesday 13th, Lawlors Hotel in Naas on Thursday 14th, and Monasterevin Parish Hall on Friday 15th.

Samaritans Ireland was established in 1961 and currently has 21 branches across the country, with more than 2,000 active volunteers. They answer almost 1,000 calls a day from people who need someone who can listen to their worries.
