School Bus Escorts wanted for Halverstown NS

School Transport Bus Escorts are being sought by St Joseph's NS Halverstown, writes Brian Byrne. Two escorts are to be employed, and a panel may be set up from applicants for future vacancies. 

The bus escort will accompany and support pupils with Autism in a mini bus or taxi from their home to and from school. The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week for the school year and the post is for 15-20 hours per week. The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the children on board the bus or taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the children getting on and off the vehicle, securing appropriate seat belts and car seats. 

The successful candidates will require good communication skills and have some experience of caring for or working with children with additional needs. Full details of the position and how to apply are available here.
