Kilcullen man is new President of Roscrea College

A Kilcullen man has been appointed to the Presidency of Cistercian College Roscrea, writes Brian Byrne.
Colm Maloney, son of Pat and the late Bridie Maloney of Hillside, Kilcullen, and grandson of the late Paddy Maloney, will take up the position from 1 August 2023.
Currently Head of Boarding at Kilkenny College, he was educated at Clongowes Wood College and at St Mary’s College, Strawberry Hill, London where he graduated in history and management (hons.)
He is chair of the Association of Boarding Schools Ireland (ABSI) and was previously a teacher and housemaster at Clongowes Wood College. He had an earlier successful career in industry. He is also a Committee member of Leinster Schools Rugby.
"Along with my wife, Helen, my son Colm and my daughters Moya, Bridget and Aoife, I am really delighted to be joining Cistercian College Roscrea," he says. "It's a huge honour and I'm looking forward to August."
