Kilcullen doctor new chair of GP organisation
Dr Deirdre Collins of the Kilcullen Family Practice has been appointed chairperson of the Irish College of General Practitioners. She is the daughter of Nuala and the late Jim Collins of New Abbey Road.
A graduate of TCD, Dr Collins is a member of the Kildare Faculty of the ICGP, and former Honorary Treasurer of the Faculty. She has served on the Board of ICGP for the last four years and chaired the Education Governance Committee.
She succeeds Dr John Farrell and says she is delighted to take up her new role at a time of 'significant challenges' for the GP community.
