Students show new signs for CPC school forest area

Images: CPC.

The small woodland area on CPC grounds has been transformed by students in a major clean-up into a school forest with trails, bug hotels and signs.
Under the supervision of Wood Technology and Construction Studies teacher Míchéal Potterton, a poplar tree that had fallen was used to create three signs. The one with the school name was created by James Reid and Liam Wynne. Another using the Irish language was made by Lee Tyrrell Byrne and Caden O’Brien, and one written in ancient Ogham, which is read from the bottom up and translates to the school motto, Domine Noverim Te, ‘Lord That I May Know You’ was created by Harry Chen, Taylor Maxwell, Thomas Neale, Jamie Maly, Evan Jordan and David Nolan.
A lovely project with positive environmental and biodiversity results.
