Local launch of 'Absent Friend' this evening
A reminder that author John MacKenna will be at the local launch of his book 'Absent Friend' in Woodbine Books this evening, writes Brian Byrne.
The book reflects on his 30 years friendship with the late Leonard Cohen, and the launch begins at 7.30pm. Castledermot-born MacKenna is always an entertaining experience in his own right, and going along will be a wonderful start to the weekend for any lover of books and music.
