Dermot pedalling for sick children charities today
Dermot Cagney is pedalling away outside Nolan's Butchers today, fundraising for Barretstown and the Little Blue Heroes, writes Brian Byrne. Both groups support seriously ill children.
Dermot, who lives in Castlemartin Lodge, is part of the Tour de Force, an organisation comprising members of An Garda Siochana who cycle each year to raise charity funds. Dermot will be taking part again in the Tour de Force annual 600-kilometre Charity Cycle in June.
On his 8-hour 'spin' today he will cover approximately 200 kilometres, 'without even getting as far the the crossroad'. Anyone who wants to contribute can do so on a GoFundMe page here.
