Dennis Hogan meet and greet in The Spout on Sunday
A homecoming meet and greet with Dennis Hogan in The Spout is set up for this coming Sunday lunchtime, the day after he defends his IBO World Super-Welterweight Title in 3Arena Dublin, writes Brian Byrne. The event will feature live music and a charity auction, and gets under way at 1pm.
Dennis's bout on Saturday night against JJ Metcalf is on the undercard for Katie Taylor's big fight with Chantelle Cameron. It's the former Cross & Passion student's first fight in Ireland since becoming a professional in 2011. He won his title on 8 October 2022 when he beat Englishman Sam Eggington in a decision win at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Newcastle, Australia.
As an amateur in Ireland before emigrating to Australia he competed in over 150 fights and was an All Ireland Light Heavyweight Champion.
Dennis currently lives in Queensland, Australia. He was home in Kilcullen last November, where a celebration was held for him in The Spout.
