The passing of Philomena Donoghue (née Delaney)

The Diary has learned of the death of Mrs Philomena Donoghue (Mrs D), Bracklin Road, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford and formerly of Harristown Estate, Brannoxtown, Co Kildare.

Mrs D passed away on 6 April peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Tullamore Regional Hospital in the company of her heartbroken family. Predeceased by her brother Walter, and her sisters Betty, Mary, Kathleen, Teresa and Dolly. 

She will be sadly missed by her husband Philip (Phil), and her children Peter, Maura, Kay, Helen, Philip, John, Pauline and Róisín, her adoring grandchildren,Éimhear, Sasha, Séana, Daniel, David, Shauna, Philip, Mark, Ava, Emma, James, Eoin, Réiltín and Fionnán, her brothers Séan, Eamon and Ollie, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mrs D will be reposing at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown on Saturday from 3pm until 5.30pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown to arrive at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Abbeylara Cemetery.
