Library Garden 'always open'

The fact that the Library Community Garden is open to all who want to enjoy it was emphasised at the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action, writes Brian Byrne.

The garden is a KCA project in association with Kildare Library Service, and includes a walk, wildflower meadow, seats and picnic table.

The matter came up in a discussion about the need for a sign indicating that it is open to the public. Martin Sheridan said some people didn't like to go in when the gate to the library was closed on the alternate days when the library itself is closed.

There are restrictions on signage within the curtilage of the former Boys School building and the wall as they are preserved structures.
