Jeremy Burke cheque presentation on Saturday

A cheque will be presented to the founders of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust by members of the Burke and Kelly families on Saturday night in McTernans, writes Brian Byrne.

The money was donated through a GoFundMe appeal following the unexpected death of Jeremy Burke in Toronto in January, following which the Trust was involved in bringing him home to Kilcullen. The appeal organised by Barry Comerford raised almost three times its initial target.

Saturday's event will begin at 9pm and all are welcome.

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust was founded by the parents of Newry man Kevin Bell, who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in New York in 2013. The Trust  helps with the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating to Ireland loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances.
