Where the Parades are this year

There is no St Patrick's Day Parade in Kilcullen this year, writes Brian Byrne, but a number of events in neighbouring towns offer an opportunity to take the family for a bit of a day out.
These are in Newbridge from 12 noon, the theme celebrating The Curragh; Monasterevin from 1.30pm with the People's Market open from 11am; Athy from 3pm; Clane from 3pm with the theme 'Movie Magic' and street entertainment beginning an hour earlier.
There are also parades in Celbridge, Kilcock and Maynooth.
Weather forecast is for a fairly mild afternoon with showers.
And if you want to look back at the last Parade in Kilcullen, in 2019, the story and pictures are here.
