Equinox with sausages and brown bread tomorrow
Views from last year's gathering. |
The annual celebration of the Spring Equinox at the Dun Ailinne Interpretive Park will take place tomorrow, Saturday morning from 6.35am, writes Brian Byrne.
If the weather is clear, the sunrise effect through Noel Scullion's masterpiece spear sculpture is stunning.
But even if it's cloudy, everybody enjoys the sausages and brown bread and the chat back in 1060 Nicholastown afterwards.
Sausages as usual are sponsored by Nolan's Butchers. All welcome.
(The actual Equinox this year is on Monday, but there's a window of a few days either side when the monument effect happens.)
