Classical music at The Riverbank on Friday

Fans of classical music are in for a treat at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge on Friday night, with a performance by The Vanbrugh and Friends.

Featuring Keith Pascoe and Marja Gaynor on violin, with Simon Aspell and Ed Creedon on viola, and Christopher Marwood on cello, they will perform Beethoven's Op.29 string quintet, nicknamed 'The Storm', and Brahms’ magnificent 1890 string quintet Op.111.

The performance begins at 8pm. Tickets are priced €18/€15 and can be booked through the Box Office, either in person or by telephone on 045 448327 Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am-1pm. Tickets can also be booked 24/7 on www.riverbank.ie.

The event is supported by the National String Quartet Foundation, the Arts Council and RTÉ Lyric FM.
