The passing of Fr Michael Nevin

The Diary has learned of the death of The Reverend Michael Geoffrey Nevin on 7th February 2023, peacefully in the loving care of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Sybil Hill.

Fr Nevin, who served in Kilcullen Parish between 1989 and 1993, is deeply missed by his community at the Dublin Oratory in Formation, Saint Kevin’s, Harrington Street, by the priests of the Archdiocese of Dublin, by the Benedictines of Fontgombault, and by many devoted parishioners and friends. Bonum certamen certavit; cursum consummavit; fidem servavit.

He will be reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Aungier Street Dublin, on Thursday from 3.30pm. Removal to St Kevin’s Church, Harrington Street arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 10am, followed by burial at Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny, arriving at 4pm (approx).
