The passing of Elaine Hanlon

The Diary has been informed of the death of Elaine Hanlon, of Longford town and Dublin, and formerly a resident of Kilcullen. She passed away on 30 January 2023, in the company her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. 

Predeceased by her father Noel and by her infant son Bob, Elaine will be forever loved and deeply missed by her beloved daughter Abigail, her mother Fionnuala, sisters Jennifer, Louise, Anne, Nuala, Maria and Emma, brothers Patrick and Robert, her cousin Taraleigh, her cherished nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and a wide circle of very dear friends.

A Funeral Mass and celebration of Elaine’s life was held in St Mel’s Cathedral in Longford on Friday last and was followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium.

Rest in peace.

Elaine lived in New Abbey in Castlemartin Lodge, Kilcullen, between 2004 and 2013, and she was the owner of the Frill Boutique on Hillcrest.
