KCA works planning meeting on Tuesday - all welcome

A public meeting of Kilcullen Community Action will be held in the Teach na nDaoine building on Tuesday evening next, beginning at 7.30pm, writes Brian Byrne.
This meeting is open to everyone in the community and will mainly be concerned with setting out plans for work for the coming year. New volunteers will be especially welcome, and any new suggestions for improving the town will be enthusiastically considered.
KCA is the umbrella group for the activities of Kilcullen Tidy Towns and other community development and amenity projects.
It will be the first time the group has used the new Teach na nDaoine facilities, which are almost completed in the former Dispensary building. The project, begun in 2015, was close to completion before the pandemic halted progress. The construction includes large extension at the rear of the original building which will allow a range of facilities to be provided, such as activity areas, kitchen facilities, a lounge, coffee dock and dining room, and a community garden.
