Very good response to Kilcullen GAA walk challenges
Warming up before Ireland Lights Up. |
Thank you to the 99 walkers from Kilcullen GAA and Community who have registered and are completing the My Life challenge so far, writes Liam Cronin of Kilcullen GAA. We have so far totalled over 1,591km in three days which is amazing. Well done to everyone involved and we need more people to sign-up.
The challenge concludes 15 February and every step counts to get Kilcullen Community into the top five in Leinster — we are currently 10th. It’s not too late to sign-up, just download the app MyLife by Irish Life from the App Store or Google Play Store.
On the MyLife app go to: Social > Challenges > Pending > Every Steps Counts + (Leinster) > Kilcullen GAA. The every steps count challenge is a great way for participants to get rewarded for tracking their distance during ‘Ireland Lights Up’ in 2023. The challenge asks each club and their community members to collectively walk 4,000 kilometres which is approximately the distance around Ireland. The challenge will be across the four provinces and each club that hits the 4,000km target will be included in their province’s prize draw for one of three O’Neills Vouchers for their club, worth up to €2,500.
The Kilcullen GAA Lights Up walk kicked off last Monday night 09-January with 53 walkers doing laps of the town from Kilcullen GAA Training pitch across from the Astro pitch
Any club and community members who wish to come together for the walk, catch up with neighbours and friends or banish those winter blues are welcome to participate at 8pm each Monday night for the next five weeks up to 13 February 2023. Free Ballygowan water will be served during the walk sponsored by Britvic Ireland. Please make sure to have your walking gear with bright Hi-Viz vest/clothing at all times when walking with Kilcullen GAA Lights Up 2023.
Please spread the word to your friends and family and invite them to take part with us in both the Kilcullen Community Steps Challenge & Kilcullen Lights Up 2023 walk. Any questions ask Liam Cronin at 087 9680399. Photographs use Policy — Privacy Policy
