Brigid's cloak now on display in Nolan's window

One of the key local initiatives for the celebration of Brigid 1500 has been the work of the Suas Knitting Group, whose members spent many hours creating a St Brigid's cloak, writes Brian Byrne.
This morning it was installed in Nolan's Butchers window, where it will be on display for the month of February.
The creation is laid out along the window from a mannequin, with a St Brigid backdrop also organised by the Suas group.
The details on the cloak are well worth close scrutiny, and the colours used are landscape greens and earth, symbolising the saint's close connection with nature. The whole garment is a great credit to all the members of the group, so take some time to look over it if you're passing down town.
