Billy follows Late Late appearance with visit to home Garda Station
Probably the most famous Garda in the country paid a visit to his home station in Kilcullen today, writes Brian Byrne.
Following up on his outstanding performance at the Late Late Toy Show on Friday last, where he was presented with his very own Junior Garda uniform, 7-year-old Billy Brady was picked up at his home by Gda Jon Brien today and brought by squad car to inspect the Kilcullen Garda Station.
With him were his parents Paul and Majella, and also the inspiration for his ambition to become a Garda when he grows up, his Garda aunt Tina Quinn.
After taking a turn on the beat in Kilcullen, Billy was then shown the PULSE computer system, as well as essential equipment including the collapsible baton and handcuffs. "They're heavy," he noted as he hefted the cuffs.
A future visit to the Divisional HQ in Naas is on the cards for Billy.
