Credit Union ceases the Members Car Draw after two decades
After 20 years of the very popular initiative, the Board of Directors of Kildare Credit Union have taken the difficult decision not to continue the Members Car Draw in 2023.
This decision has been taken for several reasons, including the significant increase in the price of cars over the last few years and supply chain issues.
More than 100 cars have been won since the draw was started, as well as many cash prize winners, and the Board thanks all the members and the local garages for making it such a great success.
The final accounts for the draw are included in the Annual Report & Accounts booklet which is in the process of being posted to Kildare Credit Union members.
For legal reasons, the Car Draw has to be wound up before any replacement initiative is considered. The Credit Union says it will take account of member feedback and, if members are interested, a new prize draw may be introduced in coming years.
Meanwhile, The 55th AGM of Kildare Credit Union will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 13th December in Solas Bhríde Centre, Tully Road, Kildare. It is the first physical AGM after being online for the last two years.
