Yellow box to be repainted

Repainting the yellow box at the junction of the Back Lane, leading to the Eurospar Car Park, is to be put on the line marking programme of the Kildare-Newbridge MD, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows a motion on the agenda of yesterday's meeting from Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer, who described the location as a 'very busy junction' to a 'very effective car park' that is used by many shoppers in Kilcullen.

The councillor told the meeting that when the junction was blocked by a car stopped on it, which she said was a regular occurrence, it impacts on all traffic trying to access the Kilcullen-Newbridge road from the traffic lights.

Welcoming the report, Cllr O'Dwyer said that hopefully making the yellow box more visible will act as a deterrent.
