Two Kilcullen companies are Digital Champions
Two Kilcullen businesses took home top gongs in the Kildare Digital Champions Awards, held this week in the Merits innovation space in Naas, writes Brian Byrne.
Made Personal, the companion company to Carve On, won the overall award, while local sustainable living business Faerly won the 'Digital Experience' category. The awards programme is an initiative of the Kildare Local Enterprise Office.
In their citation, Made Personal were described as 'excelling across all categories' with huge export success, an extensive portfolio of international clients, unrivalled user experience, and client engagement at every stage of the selling process including an impressive after-sales approach. The company's CEO, Robert Kennedy, acknowledged the support of the LEO Team in growing their business from a leather goods manufacturer to creating an e-commerce powerhouse.
The accolade for Faerly described them as 'stand out' in their personalisation of e-commerce as a business model. They recently won 'Irish eCommerce Website of the Year' in the Irish eCommerce Awards, and also the ‘Small Online Retailer of the Year’ at the Retail Excellence Awards.
The Kildare Digital Champions awards were established by County Kildare LEO to recognise the best digitalisation cases from Kildare’s business scene. A judging panel with expertise in digital strategy and export development shortlisted almost 40 businesses as finalists in four categories.
The other winners were HUB360 for their logistics platform, named Export Champion; Babogue child sleep solutions as Kildare’s Engagement Champion; and The Vocal Academy, a music school in Leixlip, as Kildare’s Digitisation Champion.
