Reports that Dunnstown battery project approved by ABP
The Two Mile House Says NO campaign group is reporting that the refusal of planning permission for a Battery Energy Storage facility at Dunnstown has been overturned by An Bord Pleanala, writes Brian Byrne.
There were 171 objections to the application by Strategic Power Projects Limited, including representatives of the equine industry.
Details of the decision have not yet been posted on the ABP website, pending notifications to the parties involved in the appeal, which was lodged in July of last year.
Kildare County Council turned down the application in July of last year on the grounds of premature development, fire safety issues, and concerns about its effect on the health of the community.
