Lions help out Teach na nDaoine

Kilcullen Lions Club has presented a cheque for €3,000 to the Teach na nDaoine committee, to help towards the cost of furniture for the facility.

Teach na nDaoine is expected to open in the coming months following several years of fundraising, and refurbishment of the old Dispensary as well as the addition of a substantial extension. Among other things the building is planned to be a drop-in social centre, especially for people who might otherwise feel isolated. Completion of the project was delayed by the pandemic.
