'Fantastic music, by a fantastic performer, in a fantastic venue'

Well, the night finally arrived, the first of the Red Hot Music Club autumn gigs and what a night it was, writes Ray Kelly. Along with fellow organisers Noel Heavey and Richard Meehan, we were quietly confident of a good night but what happened was special.
Headlining was the fantastic Brian Kennedy whose personality and talent shone from start to finish of the sold-out show. The full house enjoyed a night of song, stories, lots of laughs and a few tears.
Moving between his hits, tracks from his most recent release "Folkie" and some of his own favourites, Brian showed why he is top of his game for the last 30-plus years.
The show was exactly what the Red Hot Music Club is about – fantastic music, by a fantastic performer, in a fantastic venue with a fantastic appreciative audience.
Kilcullen local Elle Leon was the support act and what a performance. Her vibrant melodies with playful, imaginative lyrics are magical.
Elle is home for a stint from Barcelona and is launching her LP in November. Definitely one to watch.
On Thursday October 27th the Red Hot Music Club welcomes Victoria Keating and Declan Synnott; and on Thursday November 24th it will be Frankie Lane and Paul Kelly.
