Family day out options next Sunday

Car Boot Art Fair at Russborough.

Two events next Sunday, 11 September, merit consideration for a family day out, depending on your interests, writes Brian Byrne.

The annual Wag & Bone Dog Show will be held in the Parade Ring of Punchestown Racecourse, with judging from 2pm. Organised by the Kildare West Wicklow SPCA, it is open to every type of dog, especially rescue dogs. There are no less than 16 categories. 

If your passion is art, then the Car Boot Art Fair at Russborough House on the same day could tickle your debit card. Some 36 artists will be showing their wares, and the event will also feature the first stage of  the Autumn rally for the Blessington Vintage Car and Motorcycle Club. The Art Fair starts at 11am, but brunch in the cafe is available from 9.30am.

Tickets €10 for the day available online here, and all-day parking is €4.
