Book vouchers in Kilcullen challenge for children

Fifty €10 book vouchers are to be won by Kilcullen children in a National Play Day event from Kilcullen Library, writes Brian Byrne.

It's a Treasure Hunt involving a walk from the Library to visit designated local sites, answer a list of questions, complete a drawing, and be back within 45 minutes.

The event begins on Saturday next 10 September, and entries will be accepted until a week later (but the Diary believes Librarian Julie has acquired extra vouchers, so entries will be accepted until all are won).

Participating children are encouraged to post a photo of their Treasure Hunt on social media with the hashtag #KildarePlayDay.

Kildare Community Stories on Facebook will post news updates and results.

The entry forms can be picked up at the Library. All participating children must be accompanied by an adult on their tour of the town.
