The money raised by the Big C 10th Anniversary Concert has been distributed to a number of cancer charities, writes Brian Byrne.
Combined with the GoFundMe set up in memory of Dee (Maloney) Carter, the group raised €29,000.
In a post saying the concert had exceeded all expectations, the Choir thanked all involved, including sponsors, volunteers, the committee and the dedication of the choir members themselves.
Over the ten years, the Big C Choir has raised a total of €107,787 for cancer support.
The recent allocations went to Newbridge Cancer Support Group, Ovarian Immunotherapy research, Barretstown Camp for Sick Children, and the St James's Bowel Cancer Screening Unit (cheque presentation pending).
