'Overwhelming' support for recent fundraiser by Gormanstown Choir

The recent concert by the Gormanstown Choir in Kildare Cathedral raised €7,656 towards the costs of September's mission to Jordan to help Syrian refugees, writes Brian Byrne.
The organisers — Dorly O'Sullivan, Dr Brendan O'Shea and Nurse Corinna Hopkins — say they were overwhelmed with the support for the event, which 'exceeded all our expectations'.
They will be joining the refugees medical aid team with Atlantic Humanitarian Relief Services at the end of September.
Whilst Brendan and Corinna will be part of the team attending to the many patients in the camps, Dorly will be singing and making music with the  children there.
All those taking part in the project are self-funding. Donations can still be made here
