Closing date looms for festivals grants scheme

If any local groups are planning festivals for next year, they need to get their applications in quickly to the Arts Council to avail of funding opportunities, writes Brian Byrne.

The Festivals Investment Scheme offers a range of grant-aid between €10,000-€45,000 for small to mid-scale festivals, prioritising programmes relating to local communities.

Full details of the scheme can be found here. The closing date for applications for the first round, for festivals behind held between January-June 2023, is close of business tomorrow, Thursday 2 June. 

For festivals in the latter half of next year, keep an eye on the Arts Council site.
