Weatherday: Two wheels record maker

Shady walk in the Library Garden (2022).

Bright and fresh with sunny spells and occasional showers.
Temperatures up to 15deg in moderate westerly breezes.
On this day in 1893, the first official bicycle world speed record was set by Frenchman Henri Desgrange, at just over 35km/h. He would go on to set 11 more records, and was also the founder of the Tour de France cycle race.
