Read-along story time, creative writing, at Kilcullen Library

Children's books author Emma-Jane Leeson will be hosting a regular read-along story time with music and craic for 5-7 year-olds in Kilcullen Community Library at 3.45pm starting next Tuesday.

Emma-Jane — creator of the highly popular Johnny Magory series — was recently appointed Kildare Library Service Reader-in-Residence. 

A Creative Writing session for 8-12 year-olds will start at 4.15 pm on the same date. These sessions will go on for five weeks every Tuesday afternoon. "If the weather is kind we can move outdoors to the lovely community garden," says Kilcullen librarian Julie O'Donoghue.

Children signing up to the Creative Writing Club are encouraged to commit to all five sessions and their work will be published in a real book at the end.
