National Biodiversity Week begins today


A range of biodiversity events will be held in Kildare for National Biodiversity Week, which begins today and runs until 19 May, writes Brian Byrne.
They include a Dawn Chorus Walk in Castletown House Estate tomorrow morning beginning at 4.30am.
Other events will include action on the bogs, bat walks, studies of bees, wild life talks, and art activities.

Meanwhile, Kildare County Council are hosting free biodiversity training for resident groups across the county
The training will explore practical actions that you can take to improve your estate for wildlife and residents.
