St Bridget’s Pitch & Putt Juveniles back in action

Next Friday 8 April will see juvenile coaching return to St Bridget’s Pitch & Putt Club from 6pm to 7pm for both boys and girls. In excess of 40 juveniles took part in the weekly fun coaching sessions in 2021 and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces back on the course, and welcome new players to come and give Pitch and Putt a try.
Ben Phelan is the coordinator of the juvenile Pitch and Putt coaching and is looking forward to a new year on the course with the kids.
“Last year we put a big effort into getting the juvenile section of our club up and running again," he says. "It exceeded all our expectations with so many enthusiastic boys and girls taking part each Friday. The core element is FUN while teaching the fundamentals of the sport out on the course with golf clubs in hand.”
Pitch and Putt is a very unique sport where both boys and girls compete over the same course. In addition a round of Pitch and Putt for two people can be completed in under an hour and it is fun for all the family from grandchildren right up to Granny and Grandad.
If you feel like giving Pitch and Putt a try and you are aged 6 to 16 come down to St Bridget’s (behind the Community Centre) next Friday 8th April where Ben and the rest of the coaching team will be on hand to welcome you. All you need is one golf club (7 iron through to PW) and a putter to take part. If you don’t have clubs there will be some golf clubs and balls available for any who need equipment, so really all you need to start is your enthusiastic self and a drink to try it out. Your first evening try-out is free!
Membership for the year for a juvenile is just €27.50 and a family membership is just €205 for the entire year which allows two adults and two children play whenever they wish for a full year February to February.
For more information visit our new website at www.stbridgetspitchandputt.ie where you can pay your membership online and complete the online membership forms. You can also download the juvenile membership form from the membership page if you so wish and bring it with you on your first evening.
