Edel and Kybosh debut in The Spout tomorrow night
Kilcullen's Edel Mac Aodh is the lead singer in a new band debuting at The Spout on Saturday night, Kybosh, writes Brian Byrne.
The Kybosh lineup includes drummer Dermot Meenehan, bassist John Boothman and Marty Cummins on guitar. They were previously together in a band called Blackthorn.
It's very much a Kildare West Wicklow coming together, as John is originally from Blessington, Marty hails from Ballyknocken, and Dermot came from Athgarvan.
"I'm a Kilcullen woman through and through," Edel told the Diary. "They wanted a new singer and a new sound ... so, cue me!"
Edel says she really enjoys singing with the lads. "We have a great set."
