On this day in 1903, the British House of Commons passed the Light Locomotives (Ireland) Bill which allowed the first international motor race in Ireland to be held, the Gordon Bennett Cup which took place in July of the same year.

Headline: The Red Devil was the nickname of Camille Jenatzy, who won the race that summer.
