Support the Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day

Today is Daffodil Day and everyone will have a chance to support this Irish Cancer Society initiative at the usual collection places around town, writes Brian Byrne.

It's the 35th year that Kilcullen has been involved in the initiative, though for 2020 and 2021 there was no street collection due to the pandemic. Individuals, schools, local businesses and community organisations did their own collections, helping to bridge the gap.

Well in excess of €100,000 has been donated by Kilcullen people to Daffodil Day over the three and a half decades.
