Online library services getting upgrade

Online library accounts in Kildare and through Libraries Ireland will not be accessible between 21-28 March while a new system is being deployed.

The new system will be available from 29 March with improved functionality and features.

The improvements will make for easier logging into library accounts, managing reservations, reading lists and contact information. The catalogue will be easier to use and will have images and recommendations as well as themed bookshelves and links to useful resources.

Renewal of library membership online will be possible for the first time. The system will look and work great on mobile phones and tablets.

eServices such as Borrowbox, Libby and PressReader will not be affected during the work, and all loans will be extended.
