On this day in 1998, actor and comedian Dermot Morgan died suddenly in London. His portrayal of Fr Ted Crilly in the TV series 'Father Ted' is still immensely popular in reruns in the UK and Ireland. He died the day after completing the third series finale episode, 'Going to America'.
