Business programme for returned emigrants
A Government-supported business programme, which focuses on returned emigrants, is hoping to attract people who moved home to Ireland during the pandemic.
The six-month part time development programme is organised by the BackforBusiness organisation and is aimed at assisting participants to start and develop a business. Those who have been out of the country for some time can often face the challenge that their local knowledge, contact base and professional and personal networks being less developed than those of typical entrepreneurs.
The initiative is based on a model of peer support, entrepreneurs supporting entrepreneurs. Volunteer Lead Entrepreneurs will make their time available to facilitate round tables and to share their experience of starting and growing a business.
