Efforts to make Kilcullen cross roads a more efficient and safer junction will continue at the January meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District, writes Brian Byrne.
Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer has a question on the agenda asking the Council to consider removing one car parking space and narrowing the path at the traffic lights to allow cars turn left for Brannockstown or drive straight on toward Athy, when the busy junction in Kilcullen is next being upgraded?
At the same meeting, Cllr O'Dwyer is also asking the Council carry out an assessment on the R412 Brannockstown to Carnalway Cross road with a view to amending the existing broken white line to a continuous white line for a small section, where motorists are currently overtaking unaware that residents are trying to turn into their homes.
