Coffee Hatch update from Community Centre

It has been a very busy Centre over the last few days in preparation for the opening of 'The Coffee Hatch' at 10am on Monday 10th of January, writes Centre Manager Enda O'Neill. Monica and the staff are very busy preparing the hatch. Outside is also getting a much needed new lick of paint to brighten the place up!

We will have a tasty menu board on display and we will be selling beautiful treats which have been locally sourced from Peter Trueman, a local baker who attends KARE Kilcullen Local Service. What started as Peter's hobby has turned into a passion and I am so excited that he is supplying our cakes.

Our coffee is McCabe's award winning signature blend, and is 100pc Arabica. McCabe's Coffee supplies Ireland's largest range of speciality certified organic coffee, is Fair Trade certified and is Ireland's first carbon neutral coffee roaster.

Our opening times will be Monday to Friday 8.15am till 3pm, Saturday from 9am till 3pm and on Bank Holidays from 9.30am till 2.30pm. In recognition of the hard work done by the front line staff personnel, The Coffee Hatch will also be giving a 10pc discount to all Military, Nursing, Gardai and Ambulance Staff who are in their service uniform or have their relevant ID.

We are all very excited about our new venture but the main thing to remember, is any coffee bought supports the running and upkeep of YOUR Community Centre. Everyone is welcome down to The Coffee Hatch but I would ask that we observe social distancing. Looking forward to seeing you Monday!
