Sing for LauraLynn on Sunday next

A musical fundraiser by a native of Yellow Bog on Sunday night next aims to bring in donations for LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, writes Brian Byrne.

Kevin McMahon and his fiancé Louise Campbell, and Louise's sister Claire will 'Sing for LauraLynn' on Facebook live, from 7pm, reprising a similar event they did last year. "We got very good feedback from that," says Kevin, who currently lives in Naas where Louise hails from. "With Covid going on we wanted to do something positive and it worked very well. This year we decided to do it again."

The three sing to Kevin's guitar accompaniment — "there might be a tambourine in there as well" — and there's a fundraiser page for the cause here.

So, 7pm here on Sunday 12 December, some Christmas and other songs and good cheer, for a very good cause.
