Tomorrow deadline for Design Statement survey

A reminder that tomorrow, Sunday 12 December, has been set as the deadline for the completion of the first survey related to the Kilcullen Design Statement project, writes Brian Byrne.

According to the organisers of the KCA-sponsored project, funded by Kildare Leader and supported by local councillors, there has been a 'very good response' so far, with responses both from adult residents and Scoil Bhride pupils. There was also a steady turnout to the Drop In Day last month (pictures above).

The link to the online survey is here. It gives people the opportunity to give their views on what they think is distinctive and unique about Kilcullen which could help with tourism and business strategies for the town.

They are also being asked their views on what a successful Kilcullen will look like in terms of amenities, attractiveness, transport, environment and sustainability.

This is the first phase of the Kilcullen Design Statement process. The results of the survey will be communicated back to the community and priorities identified. There will also be workshops on various elements.

If you haven't given your views on this project yet, do click or scan the 'Have Your Say' panel on the right column of the Diary.
