Community Time Machine seeks Kildare participants

Communities in Kildare are invited to take part in a neighbourhood archive project pairing young people with seniors to learn about each others' lives, writes Brian Byrne.

The Community Time Machine  is organised by the Neighbourhood Network, and is already active in Wicklow, Westmeath and Monaghan.

Facilitated interviews are conducted between the pairs to learn about their lives and what community means to them. Their recorded responses, art works and photos create an image of how the community looks now and how it looked in the past. The result is an inspiring collection of insights into the hearts and souls that make up communities all over Ireland.

The initiative is being expanded to Kildare, Clare, Kilkenny, Meath, Donegal, Cavan, Longford and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. More details here
