Kilcullen captain leads Newbridge College to Junior victory

Paddy Taylor from Castlemartin in Kilcullen led Newbridge College to its Leinster Schools Junior Cup win yesterday, writes Brian Byrne.

As team captain he also personally racked up 14 points of the 19 the Newbridge side scored against Blackrock College's 15. His tally included four penalties and a conversion.

Todd Lawlor scored a try for Newbridge in the contest at Energia Park in Dublin.

The two schools had shared the junior title in 2020 after their final meeting was cancelled due to Covid-19.
