Climate & Energy Week hosted by KCC
A reminder that a 4-day series of online events this coming week about energy awareness, biodiversity, green business innovation and community activation will comprise the Kildare Climate & Energy Week from 26-29 October, writes Brian Byrne.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness of our energy and climate action responsibilities.
The interactive and Youtube presentations will include sessions with experts to simplify the information around energy saving, how to understand and reduce our carbon footprint, and explore Kildare's eco-systems and their importance.
A webinar on restoration of natural habitats, and another involving secondary school students in discussion on climate issues, will be part of the programme, as will a panel discussion on 'greening' businesses, a talk on sustainable transport, and a discussion on 'circular food systems to reduce food waste.
